Roma are set to end their interest in appointing Manchester City's Roberto Mancini as their new manager according to Goal.com.
The Italian side were reportedly considering making an audacious attempt to bring the City boss to the Italian capital.
Roma now look set to focus their attention on AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri. Allegri would reportedly demand half the salary Mancini was looking for.
Allegri's future at the San Siro is uncertain with reports in recent weeks suggesting that the club could appoint Parma manager Roberto Donadoni as their next boss this summer.
Roma are almost certain to be looking for a new manager this summer unless current interim boss Andrea Andreazzoli is able to guide them to a Champions League spot.
The Italian giants have been without a permanent manager since parting ways with Czech boss Zdenek Zeman in February.
