A chance was missed by tottenham to go back to the Champions League diploma places by drawing 2-2 at relegation-threatened Wigan. Gareth Bale grabbed on careless defending to put Tottenham in front after nine minutes, but Emmerson Boyce equalised inside two minutes and Callum McManaman netted what appeared as if the winner at the beginning of the next half. It took an goal from Boyce in the minute for Tottenham to draw level but a winner couldn't be produced by the visitors. In the pursuit for the four Champions League areas, level was gone by Tottenham on points with Chelsea but its fourth-place competitor has a game at hand and a superior goal huge difference.
