Dion Waiters was the victim of a heinous crime. His car was packed with popcorn and the monsters who did it didn't leave a drink to him to scrub it down with. Oh, the horror. Included in the novice hazing habit that is become somewhat of a tacky epidemic in the NBA, Waiters' Cleveland Cavaliers teammates poured hills of popcorn in to the neophyte's truck. The combination guard didn't look all that pleased with the effect. He stated he was upset and that it looked worse (not "worst") face-to-face. I'm not really sure if he was talking about the quantity of popcorn in his car or if he was livid that his co-workers could not conspire to accomplish a far more original prank. In September, Deron Williams, Reggie Evans and the Brooklyn Nets' band of experts filled sophomore Marshon Brooks' vehicle with popcorn as well. Seemingly, the lockout-truncated time did not provide the team with enough of an opportunity to haze the then rookie precisely. So he was popcorned before this campaign as well. Imagine moving up to your expensive group of wheels and then think it is flush with popcorn. What would you do? Head to the flicks? Purchase some salt? Hire Eddy Curry to wash it out for you? While we are imaging, also envision your self being an NBA person plotting a practical joke like this. Would not you have been at the very least a teensy bit more creative? I love the idea of a vehicle overflowing with feature film-inspired snacks as much as the next person, but if the Cavs could not attended up with still another joke, they could've at least changed the type of chow. Like to Cheetos or Milk Duds or Skittles. As well as unpopped kernels. Something that didn't scream I borrowed Deron Williams' diary would've sufficed, actually. We are able to all recognize some good-natured satire, save for maybe Waiters himself. These kind of pranks are funny and only slightly harmful. To the next NBA convocation that contemplates punking a teammate like this though, I beg you: Don't. Complete their automobile with an alternative treat, or take action else entirely. A copycat is liked by no one. Specially the soda was forgotten by one who.
