Coach claims to own held Spurs talks - Clubcall

Former Paris St-Germain coach Antoine Kombouare claims to have held discussions with Tottenham last summer over the manager's post. When he left Parc des Princes in December 2011, Kombouare attracted attention from England and he now claims to have held discussions with Spurs, along with West Brom and Swansea, none that stumbled on fruition before he fundamentally went to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia. Spurs went on to provide the manager's task to Andre Villas-Boas and, after a hard start, that has turned out to be an effective session. Kombouare, currently underemployed again, told L'Equipe: "After my sacking from PSG I'd a six-month break. Then I desired to train in the Premier League, in the place of France. "I had contacts but because I was always the second or third name on the list it was never sorted. "The connections? West Bromwich Albion, Swansea and Tottenham. I went to London to generally meet officers, nonetheless it never stumbled on something. "I did not desire to join a small club or a small European group, therefore I finally chose Saudi Arabia."
