Birmingham City chief Kompany looking forward to next time...

Apr 1, 2013 3:40:00 PM The Belgian centre-back has all but conceded the name to opponents Manchester United but says the Citizens should end the summer season clearly to set up a solid campaign next year His team-mates have been told by the City skipper to finish the year on a high in order to set themselves up for a solid campaign next year, knowing that their efforts to retain the title are but over. The Blues experience Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final in 13 days time and Kompany is hoping to end the season with some carpet. "I feel there's still a great deal to anticipate, and whichever way we finish in 2013 might set us up for the following one," he informed The Manchester Evening News. "I bear in mind the way in which when we won the FA Cup the season was finished by us. We finished on equal things with Chelsea, that has been a massive boost for us, we secured a location in the Champions League and won the FA Cup. The Belgium international has been absent for 2 months with a leg injury he acquired in the FA Cup tie against Stoke back in January, an injury that's plagued him over the past 12 months. The 26-year-old admitted he has found it hard to look at City fall further behind neighbours Manchester United in the title race, and was aggravated by his insufficient involvement. "It is very hard to view. I am more worried when I donat play than when I do," Kompany continued. "But it is often essential as an organization for everyone to take responsibility. Every one can do something, even when you're not playing, but collectively it is disappointing."
