Atletico Madrid Discusses Radamel Falcao Manchester United ...

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has denied reports linking Radamel Falcao with a move to Manchester United according to talkSport.

The Colombian striker has become one of the most sought after players in Europe after a number of impressive displays for the La Liga side this side.

Falcao is widely expected to leave the club this summer with the likes of PSG, Manchester City and Chelsea all thought to be ready to make a move for the £50 million striker.

United and Atleti enjoy good relations after the sale of Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea. It was thought that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson may have returned to the Spanish capital to pull off what would be one of the biggest signings for the club in recent memory.

Some reports were suggesting United had also offered their Mexican striker Javier Hernandez as a makeweight in the deal to bring Falcao to Old Trafford.

But Atletico coach Diego Simeone has laughed off the speculation, pointing out that the same kind of rumours emerged at this point last season.

"Falcao is a great player and it's logical that the best teams in the world are interested in him. It doesn't surprise me."
