West Bromwich Albion's Peter Odemwingie sworn at by Adrian Chiles at awards... - Telegraph.co.uk

Chiles, the ITV baseball presenter and lifelong West Bromwich Albion promoter, aimed a derogatory remark at Odemwingie as he managed the club event at the Birmingham ICC on Sunday morning. Albion forward Odemwingie was not present at the ceremony as he was recovering from the cold but Chiles's comment gave another sign that the Nigerian will be offloaded come july 1st. Chiles said: "Our next award of the evening is for atweet of the yeara... Oh, no, sorry itas at--- of the yeara - and the success is Peter Odemwingie." Odemwingie infuriated his club in January by first slapping in a move request after they turned down a A3 million quote from QPR before then criticising his companies on Twitter. He then went down seriously to Loftus Road on shift contract morning in a determined attempt to push the move through but failed - and was then fined another time for another stinging attack on the social network site. Chiles's opinion, that was ad libbed on the night, is believed to have stunned team officers and visitors at the event, that was attended by over 800 people. Odemwingie was also booed when he was noticed in a shows system of last season. The 31 year-old has twelve months left on his A38,000 weekly contract after this campaign and Albion may sell at around A3 million.
