Giveaway – Restrained Edition Cobra Rickie Fowler Excursion Trusty Wedge.

Your nearly-undisputed King of Limited Edition Golf equipment, Cobra Golf, is back while using latest in a steady stream of great, and relatively unique, semi-collectible golf club sets.

Previously Cobra has restrained their special offerings to your driver. That Limited list includes Long Tom Uncooked, AMP Orange, AMP Mobile phone Green, and forthcoming YOU AND ME Open Edition AMP Cell Pro.

A limited release wedge, while not entirely fresh to the market (Vokey provides offered limited runs of select grinds with the past), it is time period for Cobra, and the story in back of the RF Proto Wedge are going to have Rickie Fans desperate to post one of the 1600 gadgets Cobra has produced.

But before we get to the back-story, and this giveaway, let's talk a little bit about how the cutting edge Tour Trusty differs within the 2011 model.

When Cobra released that updated Trusty Rusty wedge in nov 2011, they stayed true on the Phil Rogers design. Like the original, the 2011 model featured a tri-bounce lone, a rounded shape, together with a fairly generous amount from offset.

For 2013 Cobra has transitioned far from the game-improvement philosophy to produce a wedge suitable for the best players globally. Unlike previous Trusty designs, the new wedge has almost no offset, a near-straight innovative, and less bounce. Whilst the Tour Trusty retains the wedge's signature scalloped trailing advantage, the size of the cutout has become reduced in the new model.

The new Tour Trusty features generous heel and toe relief down the trailing edge which gives the wedge more versatility and stops digging when the facial area is laid open.

The main edge of the Excursion Trusty features what Cobra-PUMA's Movie director of of Product Promoting, Jose Miraflor, calls some sort of ski grind. The style and design, which helps prevent the main edge from digging, is just like what you'd find with an alpine ski. How a guy from southern California mastered anything about ski type is beyond me, but the rest of computer actually makes a whole lot of sense.

The new Tour Trusy has been around an out of Rickie's bag being the design has been changed and refined (based at feedback from Rickie, Ian Poulter, together with Jonas Blixt). Jonas Blixt and Jesper Parnevik already have no less than one of the new wedges within their bags. LPGA star Lexi Thompson is working with the new wedge, while Anna Nordqvist in addition to MGS favorite Blair O'Neal hold the wedges in play.

In case you follow Cobra-PUMA Golf Web design manager Bob Philion on Twitter you've probably remarked that when Rickie Fowler visits Cobra-PUMA Golf Headquarters these people basically let him undertake whatever he wants. And apparently what Rickie wishes to do is leave his signature on basically anything and everything he can get his sharpie-holding hands on.

So rather than move Rickie loose to autograph something diffrent in Philion's office, the minds at Cobra-PUMA thought it usually is more productive to let Rickie build a signature wedge. To that end they turned him loose with some stamps your decide one of his favorite Visit Trusty models (the 55° model with 12° of bounce) and asked him to perform it up the Rickie approach.

The 55° Cobra RF Proto #GoTime Restrained Edition Tour Trusty Iron wedge with True Temper Potent Gold S400 Tour Issue shaft are going to be available June 1st at a retail price of $149.

A retail model (available within October) won't have Rickie's rubber stamping, and it won't come with a DG Tour Issue Shaft (DG S200 may be the stock offering). In addition for the same satin chrome finish for the Rickie model, the retail version is likewise available in a matte dark finish. Both models might retail for $119.
