Iker Casillas recovering from surgery wants with winning a title this year

Iker Casillas says his recovery from the broken bone in his hand goes much better than expected and he could possibly be back involving the Real Madrid articles the moment late March.

Casillas' hand was broken by an accidental kick from his team-mate Alvaro Arbeloa all through Madrid's Copa del Rey quarter-final sport at the Mestalla on January 23.

It was feared he would face three months on the sidelines, and the club moved quickly to signal Diego Lopez for 3.5 million from Sevilla to perform in their likely season-defining games against Barcelona in the Copa and Manchester United in the Champions League.

The Madrid club leader told reporters on Thursday night, at the beginning of a new club look at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, that the original schedule had just been a worst-case scenario.

"I am feeling really positive," Casillas said. "The physician gave me the worst-case scenario, he explained it might take 90 days. But yesterday when the splint was removed, I was told I had one month left. Now I'm doing effective exercises to obtain mobility and power in the finger."

Casillas said he had been spending so much time at Madrid's Valdebebas education center to obtain right back playing as soon as possible.

"Until now I have perhaps not had much energy in it, but I'm getting it back little by little," he said. "We have reached the halfway point of the injury. I've still got a month to go. I'll have to work more and suffer more to get right back the freedom of before. I'm looking forward to returning. It is worse being off the message than on it."

The event was also visited by Casillas' team-mates including Arbeloa, Xabi Alonso, Karim Benzema, Angel Di Maria, Jose Callejon, Nacho and Kaka, though coach Jose Mourinho was absent.

Alonso told reporters that he didn't know yet whether he would recover from his crotch issue with time for next Tuesday's Copa semi-final second leg at Barcelona's Camp Nou.

"I am in the recovery stage," the midfielder said. "I am hoping to get better when possible, to have gone the discomfort and get back in top form. When I will get ready plenty of people ask. I desire to manage to play against Barca, but I do not have an answer right now."

Former Liverpool person Alonso stated that, with the tie balanced at 1-1, whoever won first in the Champions League last 16 reunite game at Manchester United on March 5 would be favourites to progress.

"They should have the help of their fans," he explained. "It is going to be considered a problem. The side that scores first is going to be favourites. Old Trafford is a great floor and it's the type of match most of us prefer to play. The link is very open."

Di Maria said that it could suit Madrid to be playing overseas in both of the upcoming, probably season-defining, games.

"Things are going well and develop to keep this way," he said. "We know that we have to have huge matches in both games and that it'll not be easy. Because we excel when things are against us probably playing away will be inside our favour. We have had this week to work on the simplest way to approach the activities. I hope everything goes well."

Benzema, who remains a doubt for Saturday evening's La Liga sport at Deportivo La Coruna, said he wasn't worried about his recent poor form before goal.

"I hope than I've to date that I score more goals, but the thing could be the team and to win the forthcoming matches," he said. "We need to come together to win. We've a fantastic team and we are all in good form."
