All Russian teams advance in Europa League: Voice of Russia

All three Russian football clubs taking part in the Europa League: Kazan's Rubin, Makhachkala's Anji and St. Petersburg's Zenit, have made it to the 1/8 finals of the European Football League championships.

In the second leg of the competition Kazan and St. Petersburg were victorious and Makhachkala tied. However, on aggregate points, all three teams were winners.

Rubin knocked Span's Atleticos out of contention. The Spanish team had won last year's Europa League, something they have managed to do twice in the last three years of the tournament.

In the 1/8 finals Rubin will take on Spain's Levant, Zenith the Swiss team Basel and Anji the English team Newcastle United.
